Gary Byron Clay

Our mother is always with us.
She's the whisper of the leaves
as we walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach in
our freshly laundered socks.

She's the cool hand on our brow
when we're not feeling well.
Our Mother lives inside our laughter.
She's crystallized in every
tear drop we shed.
She's the place we came from ...
our first home.

She's the map we follow
with every step we take.
She's our first love and our first heartbreak,
and nothing on earth can separate us from her ...
Not time ... not space ... not even death.

Always An Angel

 Forever "29"

If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother's arms
And tell her they're from me.

Tell her I love her and miss her,
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
But there's an ache within my heart
That will never go away.

She was the best mom anyone could have asked for.
She was crazy about my older sister and me.
My sister and I are only 1year and 3 months apart.
What’s really neat is that I was born on her 25th birthday! The sad part is I was 3 months premature.
My mom loved and lived life to the fullest.
I think the hardest things about her death for me is

My mom Ginger Diane Jenkins was born October 2, 1956.

She passed away March 9th, 1986.

Her death was as a result of two drunk high school boys.

They werew ages 15 & 16. They hit her head
on at a top of a hill nearby Kansas City.

She and her friends were coming

back from a hairshow in kansas city.

They hit my mom's car going 90 to 100 miles per hour
and my mom was doing the speed limit.

It has been 22 years since my mom was killed
and it still hurts like it was yesterday.

I still remember that night
my Dad got that call and woke my sister
and I up, whom we were only 4&5 years old
at the time.

He sat us on the couch in their room to tell us
"Mommy, was in a car wreck
and she wasn't coming home."

The sad thing about it,
is not only did they kill my mom
but they killed 3 other moms as well.

One mom had an 18 month old son.
My mom had my sister and myself.
Lastly, the mom in the front seat
with my mom was pregnant
with twins due in August.

Only one made it out of my mom's car
alive but she had to struggle to hold
on but fortunately
she made it and is doing fine to this day.

The wreck was so bad it killed the drunken boys too.
Their alcohol levels were .22 & .18.

If they would have lived, they would have went to prison for a very long time if not for life for man slaughter !

Especially for as drunk as they were.

The courts would have tried to get them for the unborn twins as well as my mom &her friends.

I guess what I want when people read
my mom's story on here is to please
THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!

I couldn't
save my mom or her friends but,
I thought maybe her story could
help hopefully save a life.
I just need people to be
willing read it and listen.
I felt like I owe it to my mom share story.

I hope that I can save even one life from
"DRUNK DRIVING!"
My mom would have wanted people
to learn from someone else's mistake.
My mom was so loving and kind.
She didn't deserve what happened
to her! She wouldn't want me to dwell on it,
ESPECIALLY if it could save
someone else from the same fate

1. She didn't get to see my sister and I grow up

2. She didn't get to spend what is

suppose to be the fun and special moments with us.

3. We can't spend our birthdays together.

4. She never see her four grandkids.
My sister has 3 and I have one. There's not a moment I don't think about her and wish she could be here.
Anyways, this is for u Mom!

I love and miss u so much!

SO BE RESPONSIBLE
this could happen to u
or someone u love!
I know because it happened
to someone I loved.
My mother wasn't even drinking.
She and her friends died at the
hands of someone else who used
"POOR JUDEGEMENT"!

If you have been drinking get a DESIGNATED DRIVER!

It's NOT WORTH dying or GOING TO JAIL!

In Loving Memory of

Kevin Troy Clay
1962-1990

Forever "28"

Kevin Troy Clay was born December 21st, 1962
and passed away December 21st, 1990
on the night of his 28th birthday,
due to falling asleep while driving on the highway
between the Yate Center and Chanute Kansas.
He went off the road and hit a concrete culvert head on
in his little Toyota pickup.

This past December was 18 years since
my uncle has been gone
and it doesn't seem like it should be.
I was 9 or 10 when he died but
I remember pretty good.
My uncle Kevin was tall dark and handsome.
There wasn't a girl that didn't like him probably.

When he was young,
he like to race dirt bikes
and scare my grandma half to death.
He was your typical daredevil.
Love and lived life to the fullest just
like my mom did. He was a big dog lover.
He had 2 dogs. a Great-Dane named
Zigfild, he called him Zig for short,
and a full blooded red chow named Britten.
Around the time of his death though,
he had gotten married
and had a 18 month old daughter named Abbey,
She was his pride and joy.

Ths is some what ,what my Grandpa's grave should

look like in the real picture, but if u see it in the album. It dosen't!

The reason why it it don't is because the person doing

the grave.Never got the scripture on there like they should have. Also the reason it don't have flowers on it like the others is because someone decided to still them and we keep on trying to keep flowers on it but they just get stollen so,I decorated his grave this way so we can keep the flowers on it and have his scripture on it like it should be that my Grandma and I picked out for my Grandpa. The scripture fits him every well.

To my grandma whom had 3 kids and a husband.
She suffered the losses of 2 kids taken in car
wrecks. She was married to my Grandpa for 44 years
almost 45 then to have him taken from us.
I just want to say I admire your will to keep
on going and I love u with all my heart.
